HMO, PPO, HDHP, and EPO are types of health insurance plans. HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) requires members to use in-network providers. PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) offers more flexibility in choosing providers but may cost more. HDHP (High-Deductible Health Plan) has higher deductibles but lower premiums. EPO (Exclusive Provider Organization) is similar to HMO but may include out-of-network emergency care. POS (Point of Service) combines HMO and PPO features.
